The Holidays
I've been SUPER busy in my real life. I've been floating around but mainly just trying to keep up with my self appointed obligations.
I hope everyone is having/ will have a good holiday. I know Chanukah started yesterday so you have 6 more days until the really good gift! For all those who celebrate Christmas, you have 3 more days until you get the whole kit and caboodle in one shot. It's kind of like too much foreplay and a medium orgasm.
I'm an agnostic but I love a lot of the holiday traditions. I cherry pick the ones I like and leave the rest. This time of year is about humanity, celebration of the end of the year and the beginning of the new one, lifting spirits that have fallen because of reduced sunlight . Of course most of this applies to my interpretation of the general spirit of the holidays in my country. I'm curious to hear yours. Leave me a comment on this blog telling me the meaning of the holidays to you. I'll randomly pick a winner and give them 150

A very good definition ^^
For me this holiday means an unwanted interruption of my work on Kyoko with being polite to people I would rather not like to see and being hypocritical through and through, so that this household will be in peace for another year. Basically it´s one of the very few periods of time of the year, where I wish I was alone.
Damn social obligations. Sometimes you can't avoid them. Even if you try to explain to those you don't want to spend time with. I'd love to say to some of my in-laws "We have different view points in life and I found it very uncomfortable to spend time with you. Therefore I will be avoiding you from now on." That doesn't go over real well no matter how logical the argument. We will be far away soon though, so we WILL be able to avoid the situation. Did I mention Steven isn't too keen on his family too? If he was, it would be easier because I would know that I am enduring them for his sake. I guess I can tell myself I am enduring them for Via's sake.
I do have to say that I like his siblings for the most part. His mother isn't so bad either but he's very uncomfortable around her. Poor Steven is misunderstood. They pick on him without realizing it.
Anywho, Happy Christmas regardless.
the holidays mean a lot , especially when you see the kids play on the street like flowers on the field , spreading smiles , love , and enjoy it .
so simply , smile to your life , it will smile back to you
Happy Holidays!
